As a Speech-Language Therapist, I have a passion working with individuals of all ages, but my heart lies in the work I do with neurodivergent children and adults.

One of the biggest goals for every person with communication difficulties, is to be able to communicate with confidence and this is why multimodal communication is encouraged and valued which combines all modes of communication in one medium. Our practice makes use of low-tech and high-tech Alternative and Augmentative Communication (AAC) to assist patients with communication as and when needed.

We should never assume that a person who has difficulty expressing themself, has nothing to say. Rather, we need to find ways that allow people to communicate in a way that is best for them and adapt accordingly.

Creating a safe environment in your communication journey is extremely important, which we always strive for, along with the holistic, person-centred approach followed to individualize care to suit your specific needs.

Speech-Language Therapist

HPCSA Registration Number: ST

I am a dedicated speech therapist with a passion for helping individuals of all ages communicate more effectively and lead more fulfilling lives. I have an interest in a range of speech therapy areas, including neurodiverse children and adults, early childhood development, working with adults facing neurological communication and swallowing challenges and neonatal and breastfeeding support. I am committed to providing compassionate, individualized care to each patient, always striving to meet their unique needs.

I have had the privilege of working in a sub-acute facility, where I've primarily supported adults navigating the challenges of neurological disorders during the rehabilitation process. This role has deepened my knowledge and expertise in supporting individuals with acquired neurodivergence to have an improved quality of life. In addition to my work with adults, I am deeply passionate about early childhood development and neonatal care, which has led me to pursue further education in lactation consultancy.

I believe that therapy is most effective when it goes beyond just addressing the clinical aspects. Building meaningful connections with patients and their families is central to my approach, allowing me to tailor each treatment plan to the unique needs of the individual. This personalised support helps create a more holistic and impactful therapy experience whilst achieving each patient’s communication goals.
